Color has always been a big part of who we are. A dominant facet of Bumbleride's personality. Thirteen years ago when Bumbleride was just a concept, we recognized a void in the industry. Stroller companies were very conservative with textile design and color. Being in our 20's at the time we didn't want to play things so safe. We wanted to have fun and help families celebrate the birth of their babies with vivid color and stylish design. That is still true today. Each year we enjoy projecting what colors will stand out as something new. Not always monochromatic but also combinations of color with hood linings and details on our strollers to keep things fresh. Living in San Diego and enjoying the outdoors, nature is always inspiring us. In this years collection, one of our favorites is Tourmaline. A soothing blue green that mimics the colors of the ocean. Another addition that we had fun designing is Camp Green. A limited design for 2016 reminding us of trips with our kids to the mountains. We combined an olive green with tan lining and orange cording. Plus our Camp Bumbleride patch evokes adventure and getting outside. While some colors we choose are bold, we still love the palette of grounded colors with bright accents. When selecting colors we give a lot of attention to the right hue, even when choosing a black or grey. We lean towards saturated rich depth in even our staple colors. Trends come and go but the quality of our strollers are designed for longevity. We want every feature to be current and timeless. Textiles and fabrics for us have definitely evolved. Upon learning of the grim impact that textile production has on our planet we started to dig for changes we could make to improve our processes as much as possible. We are so proud to be using eco-conscious materials now. It has been a goal for many years and now we bring to the stroller industry 100% RPET (28 post consumer recycled plastic bottles, available in colors: Tourmaline, Camp Green, Red Sand, Maritime Blue & Dawn Grey) and an innovative Solution Dye process that conserves water and energy (available in Silver Black color only). One of the most fulfilling aspects of every year is seeing the favorite choices of our team and our customers. We look forward to seeing and hearing feedback of everyone's connection with their personal color choice. Join the conversation @Bumbleride. Which is your favorite color? We'd love to hear from you! -Emily, Co-Founder Learn More about Our Fabric Story
