I’m Dr. Jordi Smith, a naturopathic doctor who specializes in pediatric medicine and whole-family wellness. I’m the founder of SD Integrative Pediatrics, where I offer holistic, root-cause care for babies, kids, and mamas—including support for eczema, gut health, food sensitivities, immune health, and developmental concerns. I’m also the President of Thrive Wellness Collective and a proud member of the care team at Nourish Medical Center in San Diego.

My approach blends the science of natural medicine with the art of truly listening to each family’s story. I believe every child deserves to thrive, not just get by—and I’m deeply passionate about giving parents the tools, support, and confidence to raise healthy, resilient kids.

I grew up in Chico, California, where I attended preschool on a farm and spent much of my childhood outdoors—harvesting food, caring for animals, and getting my hands dirty in the garden. That upbringing shaped who I am today. I still garden every season and love growing fruits and vegetables with my family.

We moved to San Diego when I was 11, and even after leaving for college, I knew I’d one day come back to build a life and a practice here. I’m a mama, a wife, a lover of slow mornings, journaling, cooking from scratch, and learning something new every day. My work is deeply personal to me because I believe healthy kids start with healthy families—and that includes taking care of ourselves as parents, too.

There is so much conflicting information out there, especially for new parents. My best advice is this: trust your intuition. You are hardwired to know what’s best for your baby. It’s easy to get lost in everyone else’s opinions, but your inner voice matters. In both motherhood and medicine, I’ve found that instinct—paired with knowledge—is a powerful guide.
