My husband and I desperately want to love our Bumbleride, but unfortunately it keeps letting us down. First issue was that the whee didn’t lock properly into the axel. So we had to replace that. The plastic on our speed stroller has broken in multiple places. This last break was the wheel. It broke while under the plane, so it’s not like it broke while walking down the street, but still, it’s quite remarkable how fragile our stroller is, especially for the price. I purchased this stroller second hand, but it was new/unused, and originally purchased within the last year, but because I can’t provide original purchase info (even though I have the original box with the date of manufacture and SKU and other relevant info, they still want cover it under warranty. Again, we want to love this company and product, but unfortunately our experience has led us to decide we regret our purchase and would not recommend this product to someone else.
I LOVE my stroller but unfortunately when I used it when traveling airline it was broken as well. I think this is the airline people’s fault not the stroller company. We seen them throw our stroller out of the airplane unto the ground when we were waiting for it.
We had a similar break to a previous review, also during air travel. Otherwise, we love the stroller but I would not recommend this one for going on the airplane. We took this for air travel 3 times and it broke on the third trip. Prior to the break (and long before air travel) I also noticed that the wheels became wobbly. I have also noticed that when placing the stroller in the back of the car the back wheels do not seem to have good stability when sideways forces are on them. It looks like the plastic cover that it riveted to the spoke may act like a wedge in this scenario, pushing the inner plastic spoke away from the hub - maybe this is why they are sheering off? Might not be an issue for the strollers with smaller wheels since the forces at the huge will be less. If Bumbleride considered aluminum hub and spokes for this wheel I would be much happier replacing the part. I still hope to get a replacement because, otherwise, we love the stroller.
